Rick was born in St. Vincent, West Indies and is based in Toronto, Canada, where he is well known for his versatility which includes Jazz, R&B, Latin, Calypso, Reggae and the classics. Rick has toured the major Canadian cities with Charity Brown, performed in the club scene and the Music festivals such as Du Maurier and the Beaches festivals with Levon Ichkanian , Rick Lazar and Coconut Groove and The Montuno Police.
Rick has also performed and arranged three albums for Syl Mc Intosh. While Rick was in Vienna, writing and recording his own music, he had the opportunity to perform with Chaka Khan in a night club setting. He has also appeared at the “ST Lucia Jazz Festival”, entertained guests at in the intimate setting of the Piano Bars at the SANDALS RESORT HOTEL.
He has also performed in the Middle East, and on various cruise liners namely “ROYAL CARIBBEAN”, ”CARNIVAL”, and “REGENT CRUISES”. Rick has recently (June 2004) performed at the Ottawa Jazz festival with Musical Journey and Tamara Marshall from Barbados.
