This event provides CTO member Governments, the Caribbean Hotels and private sector exhibitors with the opportunity to interact with writers from the consumer, travel trade and Caribbean press. The media are invited to have one-on-one discussions with tourist boards, hotels, tour operators and airline representatives to gain valuable product and destination information.

Caribbean Awards Luncheon

Attended by Ministers and Commissioners of Tourism as well as award-winning media and leaders of the travel agency community, this luncheon serves to recognize Canadian-based consumer and trade media that have captured the essence of the Caribbean in their storytelling. It also honors a member of the travel agent community who has made outstanding contributions to the Region.

Andrew R. Parris Award

The award was inaugurated in 2008 and is named for Andrew R. Parris (1933-2008) who for many years represented the Caribbean, with distinction, in Canada.

Submissions for this award are open to all IATA, CLIA and ACTA appointed travel agents in Canada only. Nominations can be made by NTO’s, Hoteliers, Tour Operators, Airlines, etc.

The retail travel agent must be a high-producing travel agent for the Caribbean Region. Creativity in developing a concept and executing innovative programs will garner additional points for the nominee.

Nominees must be retail travel agents based in Canada.

Caribbean Media Award

It is with great pleasure that we announce the Caribbean Media Awards. The awards will honor the best of the best feature print and broadcast placements and photography from Canadian media outlets that have truly captured the essence of the Caribbean in their storytelling.

All entries must be submitted by Friday, October 2 at 5:00p.m. EST.
